Every blog is broken in some way.
Once you accept that, it’s easier to make amends and to reshape your blog into something that drives conversions, attracts the right audience and ranks well in search engines.

What is SEO? Well, at its heart, SEO is an attempt to rank for commercially sensitive keywords to try and reach new audiences and convert them into new customers. SEO is made up of many aspects now. The SEO industry has been going for more than ten years, and it’s had to evolve a lot as a result of Google algorithms, and, therefore, it’s allowed that what SEO does to take on the best aspects of many other aspects of digital marketing and merge them into a really strong discipline that works incredibly well for many businesses today.
For our 11th Koozchat we returned to one of our most discussed topics – Content Marketing – with a specific look at its past, present and future. Lots of you got involved, sharing 77 pieces of advice on how to create content, making SEO & Content work together, measuring results, and more. Take a look at what was discussed.
Last month I looked at why we deleted 900 blog posts and how that helped us. The key message we discovered was that old content can work against you and that a spring clean is never a bad thing. In that post I identified the ways in which old content could be affecting user experience and today I’m going to look at how your archives could cost you a lot of money.
For our 10th Koozchat 23 people answered questions about Link Building & Cleaning. This included a discussion about when to “nofollow”, finding new link building opportunities and assessing the quality of a link profile. We’ve compiled the entire chat below.
There’s never been a better time to get started with SEO, thanks to years of research and best practice coupled with greater freedom and budgets for those working on online marketing projects. Yet the hardest thing is knowing where to start and that’s why our blog post today couples together five slidedecks that will help you to get started on the right track.
Six months ago we made one of the biggest changes we’ve ever made to Koozai.com, and also potentially the most riskiest – we removed 30% of our content.
Here’s how we did it in a safe and controlled way and why we’re recommending you do the same.
In previous Koozai TV videos we’ve explained the reasons behind needing to monitor your brand and to identify all the times you’re mentioned online and on social media, whether that be positive or negative, as well as how to engage with those mentions. But what we haven’t looked at before are the best paid and free tools in order to actually see what people are saying about you and find those mentions in the first place. So today’s video is going to do just that. We’re going to go through four separate paid tools that we’ve tested internally, and five tools that won’t cost you anything, that do similar results. Then we’re going to compare the two.
