6 Ways To Use Video Marketing

18th Dec 2008 Social Media, Video Marketing 1 minute to read

On the 6th day of Xmas….

Video on the web is becoming an essential part of the marketing mix and below are a 6 ways you can use video to promote your business online:

  1. Video testimonials – from your clients saying how good you are and how you have helped their business do better. These work very well at getting you credibility and trust online.
  2. Video reviews – for products you sell so people can really get to grips with what they are buying. Statistics state that people are more likely to buy when the sales message is supported by video.
  3. Tips and help videos – these work very well and getting you ranked for long tail terms and enable you to show your knowledge online and this leads to further business and brand awareness within your niche.
  4. Video introductions – to services on your website so you can guide them through the page and service being offered to save them reading it. Works well for people in a hurry and also those who dislike reading large amounts of text.
  5. Walk rounds and tours – good for hotels, car dealerships and estate agents as people can really get a feel for what they are looking at and this also will stop wasted time as people wont bother doing a real tour if they don’t like the look of the video tour.
  6. Screen capture processes – such as using applications and software to show how easy it is to use and this can also be used for the instructional guides that accompany it.

These are just a few ways you can promote your business online but all will do wonders for your online visibility.

Attribution 101: Google Analytics and AdWords

In today’s multichannel world, there are mountains of data which provide insights into how users have interacted with your business and their path to conversion (or non-conversion). It is important to understand performance with multichannel marketing, which can be achieved through attribution modelling. Attribution refers to assigning credit to something (a channel, touchpoint, etc.) for the role it played in the final conversion. An attribution model is a rule, or set of rules, that assigns this credit correctly to the right channel or touchpoint.

Why Bing is a Valuable Paid Media Platform

For a long time, Bing, the UK’s second-largest search engine, has been underappreciated and, in some instances, even ignored.  Often regarded as the inferior search engine to market leader Google, Bing has historically struggled to appeal to many in the digital world. Most PPC analysts would give justified reasons for neglecting Bing for so long; these include the volume of traffic and the user experience just not matching up to Google. However, the validity of these assessments is now diminishing. Bing has grown and improved rapidly in the last couple of years; if you are not integrating it into your comprehensive digital marketing plan, you run the risk of missing out on a large portion of your chosen market and significant revenue.
