Welcome to the Hampshire Digital Awards

The Hampshire Digital Awards is a new online award’s programme recognising the best campaigns, activities, and people in digital marketing from across Hampshire. Open to businesses in the county, the awards are free to enter and will be judged by a panel of senior digital marketing specialists in the region.

Entries for the Hampshire Digital Awards 2023 are now closed and the winners are announced below. Congratulations to all of our winners! 

  • Best Website

    Winner: Lulu Loves Home

    Lulu Loves Home was presented with the “Best Website” award because of their website’s excellent design, user experience, ease of use, excellent use of imagery, and strong aesthetics. This award recognises the best example of an excellent website for a business in Hampshire (entries based on brilliant design, user experience, and SEO performance are considered).

  • Best SEO or Digital Marketing Campaign

    Winner: Studio Secrets

    The award for "Best Digital Marketing Campaign" was presented to Studio Secret, a new book for businesses that provides readers with an 11-step framework for building high quality websites. This award recognises the best example of a successful SEO or digital marketing campaign (including any area of online marketing) by a business in Hampshire.

  • Best In-house Digital Marketing Team

    Winner: Vail Williams

    The award was presented to property consultants Vail Williams based on positive feedback about their in-house marketing team for their collaborative approach to marketing, proactive approach to SEO and content campaigns, and their ability to work well together as a team. This award recognises the best example of a successful in-house digital marketing team working in a business in Hampshire.

  • Best Digital Marketing Specialist(s)

    Winner: Adam Holmes (Website & App Designer)

    Based in Southampton, Adam Holmes is a talented website and app developer. Adam was presented with the award for "Best Digital Marketing Specialist" for his work building the app Musiversity. This award recognises the best example of a successful digital marketer working in a business in Hampshire.

  • Best Digital Marketing Rising Star or Exceptional Boss

    Winner: Ellen Bushell

    Now Director of Marketing at King Edward VI School in Southampton, Ellen Bushell was presented with the award for "Best Digital Marketing Rising Star" because of her impressive social media presence, activity on LinkedIn, strong engagement on social media and fast career progression at King Edward VI School. Ellen has held a number of other marketing roles, including at the University of Southampton and B&Q in Eastleigh. This award recognises the best example of new talent working in digital marketing in a Hampshire business.

Judging Criteria

Judges for the Hampshire Digital Awards will thoroughly review and pre-score all entry forms, taking into account the accompanying materials submitted.

They will be scoring each question within the entry form, as outlined in the category criteria.

These scores will be combined to give an overall score for each entry.

All judges’ pre-scores will then be totalled and the highest scoring entries will be chosen for the shortlist.

The judges will then come together to discuss the highest scoring entries and select the winners for each category.

Please note that entries should not exceed the character count for each form field and should pertain to work completed between January 1st, 2022 and December 31st, 2022.

There are 5 categories of awards:

  1. Best Website
  2. Best SEO or Digital Marketing Campaign
  3. Best In-House Digital Marketing Team
  4. Best Digital Marketing Specialist(s)
  5. Best Digital Marketing Rising Star or Exceptional Boss

The judges will be looking for clear objectives, creative and effective implementation, and tangible and demonstrable results in each category. They will also take into account the structure, presentation, and clarity of each entry. Each entry must include information under each of the headings on the form.

The Rules

The Hampshire Digital Awards have the following rules for entries:

  • Entries must be from businesses or individuals registered or residing in Hampshire at the time of entry.
  • Entries should not exceed the allowed character count, not including company information and URLs.
  • Work examples submitted must have been completed between January 1st, 2022 and December 31st, 2022.
  • Entrants must supply [dependent on the category entered] at least one company and/or organisation logo and/or an image of the individual or team being entered in JPEG or PDF format and upload it with their entry [these must be under 2MB].
  • A separate entry form must be completed and submitted for each individual entry. If multiple entries are submitted, each one must have its own form.
  • If an entry is being submitted in multiple categories, ensure that the correct category form is completed for each. Failure to do so may result in the entry being disqualified.
  • Entry form questions will vary depending on the chosen category, so please pay attention when filling out the form.
  • Entries must be sent from the email associated with your online registration.
  • Please review the terms and conditions and our privacy policy before submitting an entry.
