The company was founded to disrupt the data and insight delivery industry with a combination of software and advisory services delivering data in real time via a unique service model.
Looking to enhance their online presence in the UK, as well as the SEO performance of their website, Maru/Matchbox needed a joined-up Search Marketing strategy that included SEO and Digital PR.
Operating in a competitive online space, Maru/Matchbox needed to make SEO inroads quickly for competitive keywords. Our research also identified a need to improve On Page Content across the site, as well as its backlink profile. With the company having recently gone through a rebrand, raising the profile of Maru/Matchbox with PR in key trade verticals was also a priority for us.
Working hand-in-hand with Maru/Matchbox’s in-house marketing team, our experienced SEO and digital PR specialists joined forces to create a brilliant, evidence-led SEO and earned media strategy that moved the needle. Taking an insights-led approach, we started with research that underpinned the strategy’s success – including extensive keyword research, competitor analysis, technical SEO recommendations, and On Page SEO analysis. Working closely with our PR team, we also deployed link building tactics and PR campaigns that built quality links for the site and bolstered its authority in the SERPs.
Building on our technical SEO work, we also delved into the content across the site, making recommendations that improved keyword targeting and rankings across several lucrative keywords. We also implemented a series of focused PR campaigns around a series of new ‘benchmark reports’. These were used to target PR with the aim of building quality backlinks and raising brand awareness among key financial and travel trade audiences. This included unique first-hand polling data, used to create compelling PR stories.
Following our work, SEO performance and metrics improved across the site, with a 54% increase in estimated organic search traffic and a 107% rise in referring domains. Our PR efforts also gained a plethora of quality media placements and links that strengthened the brand and the site’s authority. This included articles in several targeted news outlets including FT Advisor, Travel Weekly, TTG, Travelution, Travel Daily, Mobile News, Customer Connect, Engage Customer, Professional Advisor, Retail Week, and many others.
