(This is the transcript from our new video so it may not read as well as a normal blog post would)

Hi guys, Ben here and welcome to today’s video all about marketing into a white space or white space marketing. So it’s probably a term that you’ve heard bandied around quite a lot. It’s something that we’re really quite passionate about here at Koozai and it is basically finding a different angle, a different way, a different section of the industry. Just basically looking at what the competition industry are doing and then finding a way to separate yourself from that pack. So sometimes you’ll hear it called like a blue ocean strategy, creating a new market within a market. But basically, it’s looking for what the competitors, what the competition is doing and finding a different way to target it. Now that might be using a different social network. So it might be there’s a new and up and coming social network and you can basically take what you’re doing and apply it to that social network, which gives you this white space and a way and a place to stand out from the competition. This can also be the way that you market yourself, it might be that a lot of companies are marketing themselves, one way based on a certain set of benefits but you can find a different angle of the market, you can come in on a different angle and attack it in a different way, which separates you again from that crowd. It makes you stand out. It gives you something different to talk about, a different way to market and basically it’s all about finding somewhere. So instead of having to fight with the rest of your competition, to control this certain part, you can basically create your own subsection, your own space, where you can stand out from the competition. So in a nutshell, that’s white space marketing. I’d love to know if you’re currently using this in your strategies or whether you’re doing what a lot of people are currently doing, which is looking at what the competition are trying to do or what they are currently doing and doing more of that. So let me know in the comments below what your strategy is with white space marketing.
