Local SEO is about having an awesome user experience and a strong visibility across as many local towns as possible. In local SEO, local links carry a lot of weight. So aim to go after links with web sites and businesses based in the same area as you.
The best advice for getting links is to build relationships with the local community and also provide information on your site, so that you’re answering questions better than the competition. You can do this through offering to sponsor local events, building relationships with local bloggers and journalists, and think about maybe donating to local charities as well.
You can then follow this up and build links off the back of your outreach. But before reaching out, make sure that you pinpoint the local areas and cities that you’re looking to target and work out how your business can help, just so that you have a really strong strategy moving forward. It’s also important to remember that your content needs to be locally optimized, too.
