How to Get Links from Web Analysis Tools?

3rd Aug 2011 SEO, Link Building, SEO, SEO, SEO Resources 1 minute to read

LinksIn a web dominated by links it’s important to explore new ways to gather referring domains. One quick and easy way to gain a valuable backlink is to run your site through a range of website analysis tools. Not only does this help you understand the strength of your domain but it also provides a unique URL with a link back to your site.

Below are four sites which all provide a like worth pursuing:

Allaboutsite.com

Allaboutsite is a free SEO tool that provides free details on traffic, rankings, website worth and optimisation. You can create your own customised URL in a matter of seconds. Once the page has been created you will automatically obtain a link back to your site.

Quarkbase.com

Quarkbase is an excellent tool to get a comprehensive view on your websites strengths and weaknesses. Again, you can simply submit you domain and get a customised page (with a link). The page will also provide information on traffic data, similar sites, social comments and popularity.

AboutUs.org

This tool is a resource for small business owners and anyone else wanting to promote a website. You can run a quick site report which will explore the ‘on page’ elements that matter most for search engine optimisation – title tags, meta descriptions, headings alt text and more. In turn, the report will create your own customised page with a link back to your domain.

Alexa.com

Alexa is the most popular web information company. The site ranks the most popular domains as well as providing information on traffic stats, metrics and related links. Having your own individual page will provide a link back to your site. The first thing you need to do is register a free account. You then go to “Your Sites” and click “Add Site”. This will enable you to claim your site and create a page linking back to your domain.

Conclusion

All the link sources mentioned tend to appear in link analysis tools (including Google Webmaster Tools) showing that the sources are give a certain amount of authority. Submitting your site to web analysis tools takes no longer than two minutes. The benefits include a useful analysis and a respected link back to your website. For the time spent this is definitely worth incorporating into your link building strategy.
