Advanced Segments ‘Can Be Created Quickly With Google Analytics’

AnalyticsGoogle Analytics’ Intelligence Tool can be utilised so online companies can create advanced segments from automatic alerts in a quick and easy way.

Alden DeSoto, a member of the Google Analytics Team, advised users of professional SEO services who employ the tool that they just need to click on the Create Segment link when they receive an alert.

“You can compare this traffic side by side with overall site traffic or with traffic from other segments,” the official explained.

Links are located on the far right hand side of alerts.

Earlier this week, it was announced that Google Analytics is introducing a ‘weighted sort’ algorithm.

The aim of the tool is to allow users to choose more easily which sets of data they want to analyse first, with metrics covered by the algorithm including number of visits, goal conversion rates and the percentage of new visitors making their way to a site.
