Connecting Your Blog to Twitter and Facebook

10th Jun 2011 Uncategorised 1 minute to read

Social media and social bookmarking platforms play an integral role in getting your blog posts read. One excellent way is to connect your blog posts to your Twitter and Facebook accounts which can be achieved using a very clever piece of software called Twitterfeed.

TwitterFeed is incredibly easy to use, but first of all you need to make sure that you have a Facebook and Twitter account. For most, these accounts have already been set up; however there are some that may still be perplexed by social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter. Well you needn’t be, and if you want to gain links and exposure then it’s definitely worth investing a little time in.

Once you have your Facebook and Twitter accounts set up, it’s time to connect your blog to them. So…

Step One

Visit TwitterFeed and sign up to your free account. This is located at the top of the site and is very simple; just include your e-mail and password for starters.

Step Two

You need to create your feed. So include your feed name, such as “Joe Bloggs’ Blog” and then you need to copy and paste your blog URL or RSS Feed URL.

Step Three

The next step is to ‘Configure Publishing Services’. This is where you include your social media account information. You can select a number of social media platforms to link to, but the most popular are Facebook and Twitter. To connect, you just simply need to click on the social media platform, authenticate the account and click the ‘connect to’ button.

Step Four

Then all you need to do is click ‘Done’ and you will be presented with a confirmation page detailing your configured feeds. If any of this information is incorrect you can return to a previous step and edit your details.

For any online business looking for effective online marketing and to free up time, TwitterFeed is the solution.  Instead of having to login into various social media accounts to update your status manually, this software does that laborious task for you. Its quick, simple and incredibly easy to use, so what are you waiting for?
