Can you believe it’s been 8 years already? We know they say that time flies when you’re having fun, but it’s gone so quickly we must be having the time of our lives! That’s right, today at Koozai, we’re proud to announce it’s our 8th birthday.
What a year! Not only can we celebrate impressive achievements over the past twelve months, but we’re really excited about bringing in new faces to the Koozai family as well as some awesome new clients.
Firstly, we were delighted to be recognised within our industry for a variety of different achievements; at the UK Search Awards winning the Best Blog and being shortlisted for The Best Local Campaign. At the DADI awards we picked up the Best In-House Website Or Campaign, as well as the Silver Award for Best Rebrand of a Digital Property at the Transform Awards.
This year we welcomed a host of new talent to the family; Robert as our new Managing Director, Digital Marketing Executives including Ali, James and Jamie, and Content Marketing Executives including Cat and Kieran.
Our clientele list has also has grown, boasting awesome new clients such as Tui Travel, Simply Swim and the Chef & Brewer Pub Company. For more information visit our clients page and check out the impressive case studies.
It’s been another solid year for industry conferences too. We’re not just satisfied at attending, our fantastic team have spoken at some of the biggest events, including On The Edge, Biddable World, Brighton SEO, SMX, SES London, the Westminster E-Forum, Measurefest, SASCon, SMX London, ion Search and many more.
If that wasn’t enough, we’ve been doing our bit for charity too. In the Summer we went cake crazy raising over £130 for CDH UK, and some dedicated members of the team took part in the Eastleigh 10k, Basingstoke 10k and Basingstoke half marathon. We rounded off a year of sport with the Great South Run where we won fastest small business in the UK.
And how could we not mention our legendary company events? In the summer we had a laugh (or one hundred) at Jongleurs in Portsmouth, and had a truly unforgettable Christmas party – let’s just say the photo booth was a huge success!
We also have to say a big thanks to you our readers and followers; traffic to the site has doubled on the previous year, so thank you for reading and sharing our content. We also topped 300,000 views of our videos on YouTube and Koozai TV and have got much more planned to build on this in 2014.
With plenty of exciting developments to come, we’re excited about the next year and beyond. Stay tuned! If you want to celebrate with us, please share the post or leave a comment below.

In today’s multichannel world, there are mountains of data which provide insights into how users have interacted with your business and their path to conversion (or non-conversion). It is important to understand performance with multichannel marketing, which can be achieved through attribution modelling. Attribution refers to assigning credit to something (a channel, touchpoint, etc.) for the role it played in the final conversion. An attribution model is a rule, or set of rules, that assigns this credit correctly to the right channel or touchpoint.
For a long time, Bing, the UK’s second-largest search engine, has been underappreciated and, in some instances, even ignored. Often regarded as the inferior search engine to market leader Google, Bing has historically struggled to appeal to many in the digital world. Most PPC analysts would give justified reasons for neglecting Bing for so long; these include the volume of traffic and the user experience just not matching up to Google. However, the validity of these assessments is now diminishing. Bing has grown and improved rapidly in the last couple of years; if you are not integrating it into your comprehensive digital marketing plan, you run the risk of missing out on a large portion of your chosen market and significant revenue.
