The move of some of Yahoo!'s back-end functions to the Microsoft platform has now been completed.

Yahoo! Search Transition to Microsoft Completed As a result of the changes, Yahoo!'s search results are now being powered by Bing.

The Yahoo! Search Marketing Blog advised users of SEO services that they should review how well their keywords are working as their organic results may now differ from previously on its search engine.

Online companies were also told to think about making a decision on whether to modify their paid search campaigns to compensate for the change.

Satya Nadella, senior vice president of Bing's online services division, explained that the transition currently only affects the US and Canada, but the switch will be rolled out into other regions in the next few "weeks and months".

"We are happy to report the transition has gone smoothly and we feel great about the progress our search alliance has been making over the summer," the official added.
