Companies employing Yahoo! search marketing services have been advised to make sure their new AdCenter account is up and running.
Yahoo! and Microsoft are currently in the process of moving the former company's services to the AdCenter platform, with up to 60 per cent of the search engine's traffic expected to be moved by the end of this week.
"Please be sure you have an active adCenter account in place now, so you don't miss out on this valuable traffic," advised the Yahoo! search marketing blog.
It added that companies will then need to adjust their AdCenter budgets to cover all their potential traffic from Yahoo! and Bing by October 25th.
Earlier this week, Search Engine Land commentator Matt Van Wagner stated that optimising for AdCenter traffic is to become more important for users of pay per click services following the transition.
He explained that the traffic search levels flowing through the platform are likely to increase considerably in the near future.
