Companies with Yahoo! Search Marketing accounts have been advised to act now to switch to Microsoft adCenter.
A post on the Yahoo! blog said the transition tool for the service will be closed down for good on January 5th, meaning time is running out to make the change.
"Accounts that are not transitioned by January 5th can only be manually transitioned by exporting and importing campaigns into the adCenter UI," it stated.
The blog explained users will be able to tell if they have not switched their accounts by looking out for an adCenter tab with a yellow 'Get Started' button that will appear after they have logged in.
Under the terms of the Yahoo! and Microsoft Search Alliance, the latter company is to be responsible for delivering organic and paid search results for both Bing and Yahoo!.
AdCenter will be used as the platform for all search campaigns related to the two engines.

Thanks for this post! I have meant to do this for some time now and have kept putting it off. Luckily I was on Twitter and saw your post. As a result of the search alliance should we notice any difference in SEO for Yahoo and Bing? I have one site that almost dropped off the map for Yahoo and Bing search results but actually increased position on Google about a month ago. I can’t explain it.
