Search engine Yahoo! has launched a new function which makes it easier for advertisers to switch from Google Adwords to the company’s Search Marketing tool.

Yahoo! 'Bids to Attract Google Adwords Users' Vice-president and general manager of search marketing David Pann revealed on the company’s official blog that firms will be able to use an ‘import campaigns’ button to integrate data previously used on its rival’s application.

He noted that many companies do not use Yahoo! for their SEO marketing services, but claimed that this new converter is easy and efficient.

Mr Pann wrote: "We believe the ease of launching campaigns with your existing data will encourage more advertisers to use Yahoo! search."

In the same post, he stated that there will be new developments being rolled out for its Sponsored Search product and for a web-to-mobile migration tool.

Earlier this week, senior manager of advertiser experience at Yahoo! Malin Kennedy announced the launch of the company’s Ad Delivery Report, which tells users which domains are contributing most to its marketing account.
