An industry expert has informed online retailers that in order to be successful on the web, they must first build a solid website.
Writing for Promotion World, Nick Stamoulis recommended taking time to make sure all the content on each page of the website is well-written, since this will make it more likely that search engines may take notice.
He described how adding accurate descriptions and suitable metatags will allow business owners to begin link building, which will be all the more successful if the initial website has been put together well.
Mr Stamoulis told the website: "Everything with search engine optimisation (SEO) starts with having a well-built and optimised website for all your efforts to really stem from."
In his view, SEO strategies will usually be different to each other in many respects, but the fundamentals "will apply to each and every single campaign".
It was recently announced that Yahoo! and Microsoft’s Bing have merged and will share the latter’s back end search capabilities.
