When redesigning a website it is important to consider many factors to ensure customers are not lost as a result of the change.

Website Redesigns 'Should Include SEO Efforts' Search Engine Land explains a number of simple steps can diffuse the impact the move has on search results, one of which is SEO services.

Many companies will wait to get an SEO expert involved until the new site is designed and launched, but this may be a mistake.

"This can lead to expensive site design changes that could have been easily implemented during the design process," the advice piece warns.

And it might even be impossible to correct issues once the site has been launched, as some changes will involve "essentially rebuilding" the online platform.

The news source previously offered guidance on what to include in website redesigning, stating it is important to carry out plenty of keyword research during the planning process to consider the needs of target audiences.
