Strong Link Structures ‘Can Improve SEO’

Yahoo! has offered businesses some tips on how they can ensure search engines pick up and index their content.

Strong Link Structures 'Can Improve SEO' Discussing the issue on its Search Marketing Blog, the organisation explained that strengthening link structure is an easy way for SEO services to drive traffic to a site.

A "sensible" linking structure needs to be introduced to improve the "findability" of pages, the brand states.

"If a page has no links connecting it with any other indexed pages on the web, it may not be found by search engines, since they follow links to discover new content," it adds.

This includes internal links as well as external connections that can be promoted using business cards and online local listing pages such as Yelp, Yahoo! Local or CitySearch.

Earlier this week, the search engine announced the launch of its new Yahoo! Search Marketing Desktop application, which makes tasks such as bulk editing and keyword research much easier, as well as allowing people to run multiple campaigns.
