SEO campaigns can be made more effective by a company having a strong presence on social media sites.
According to Search Engine Watch commentator Kaila Strong, it is simple for organisations to improve their link building – and thereby boost their search engine results rankings – by utilising websites such as Facebook and Twitter.
She stated that by including keywords in tweets, along with a link to a company's website, businesses can start to see tangible results.
Another link building strategy is to incorporate a blog onto a Facebook profile, Ms Strong suggested.
"If your blog has an internal link to your site (of course hyperlinked to your keywords), it will be transferred to your social profile when posted," she added.
Earlier this week, Frank Watson, who is another columnist for Search Engine Watch, advised companies to develop relationships with anyone who retweets their information as they will continue to send traffic towards their websites.
