Analytics tools should be employed by companies with websites, it has been advised.

SEO Users 'Should Employ Analytics Tools' According to Kastle Waserman, a communications manager writing on the Yahoo! Search Marketing blog, analytics will help users of SEO expert services to learn more about the "clicks and conversions" on their website.

The commentator explained that Yahoo! has two different types of analytics tools, with the first a conversion-only system that allows users to see how much revenue is being made from visitors clicking onto a website from campaign ads.

It was stated that the second type is the full system, which covers both conversions and website activity, including what pages internet users browse on a company’s website.

"Full analytics is like a secret agent on a mission to let you know how visitors are viewing and using your site, so you know which pages and products catch the most attention," the blogger said.

Earlier this year, Aaron Wall of Search Engine Land said that the use of web analytics can help businesses to get a handle on how effectively their website is performing.
