SEO ‘Has Great Long-Term Potential’

An SEO campaign will pay dividends over time, it has been suggested.

According to Search Engine Watch commentator Rob Chant, businesses who decide to employ professional SEO services will have to be patient to see the results of the marketing technique.

This is because it takes time for keyword usage to take effect on a search engine's ranking of a website.

Nevertheless, SEO still has "great long-term potential" for increasing a small business' online presence, Mr Chant said.

"It can have a tremendous impact on your business if you have the time and patience," he stated.

Last month, his fellow Search Engine Watch columnist Adam Audette advised that companies planning to embark on an SEO campaign should clearly define their aims before picking a specialist partner to work with.

He said businesses should consider if their goals include for better e-commerce conversion rates, link building improvements or CPM traffic increases.
