Reusing Old Blog Posts ‘Can Boost SEO’

Online companies should be thinking about promoting older blog posts on their websites from time to time.

Reusing Old Blog Posts 'Can Boost SEO' This is the advice of Search Engine Watch commentator Bas van den Beld, who stated that this can be an especially good idea when a topic covered in a previous blog post becomes "hot" again.

"Tweet out older posts, connect them to current news events and if you do it right you can even get them to show up in Google News," he told users of SEO services.

Mr van den Beld explained that the chief skill in achieving this is to keep the post "alive" by updating links within the website and alerting social media followers of the content's existence.

Last month, Search Marketing Weekly columnist Greg Shuey explained that employing guest bloggers can improve link building efforts and therefore help to give a website a better position in search engine rankings.
