Companies have been advised to get prepared for the changes that will occur when Bing begins to power Yahoo!’s organic search results.
Users of SEO services were told the switch may occur by the end of this month, as the Yahoo! Search Marketing account gradually makes the transition to the Microsoft adCenter system.
A post on the Yahoo! Search Marketing blog pointed out: “If organic search results are an important source of referrals to your website, you’ll want to make sure that you’re prepared for this change.”
It added that the team involved with the switch is committed to making the change as seamlessly as possible.
Last month, the blog explained that it is important for companies to compare their search rankings on Yahoo! and Bing and work out what keywords are working best for their website.
They should adjust their campaigns accordingly to compensate for the forthcoming changes, it was advised.
