Google is to bring out an updated version of its AdWords Editor tool for Mac and Windows.
Jason Shafton, a member of the Inside AdWords team, told users of pay per click management services that AdWords Editor 8.0.1 is specially designed to support location extensions, which is a new service for running local adverts.
"We've transitioned the local business ads in your AdWords account to ads that are compatible with location extensions [and] added the Extensions tab in the AdWords Editor interface," he explained.
Any company already employing AdWords Editor will be sent a prompt by Google to update their version automatically, while new users can download the application.
The roll-out will occur over the course of the next few weeks.
Earlier this month, Mr Shafton stated that the AdWords Opportunities tab is another useful tool for marketers, as it allows them to access tips on budgeting, keywords and keyword bids.
