An increasing number of online businesses are becoming aware of how important inbound links are for their search engine results.
Such is the opinion of sector commentator Jeff Muendel, who made his remarks on web resource Practical eCommerce.
He stated that link building is an "ever-changing landscape" that is constantly evolving as search engines alter their algorithms and, in turn, link building methods change to make the most of these modifications.
Mr Muendel said that, as more webmasters understand how much of an important role link building can have in enhancing a website’s online position, they will likely receive more requests for links from other internet entities.
Concluding, the analyst said: "Asking for a link sometimes means offering one as well. Avoid direct link exchanges, however, because they are frowned upon by search engines and are likely to simply cancel one another out."
Earlier this month, Noah Belson, content quality analyst at Yahoo!, wrote in the company’s search marketing blog that many firms are now mastering aggressive web marketing techniques to enhance sales and tempt customers.

The easiest strategy for link building and creating “authority” for your site is good old fashioned SEO tactics. Find related sites, get involved in the conversation and add value to your site.

Hi John,
Thanks for your comments, and I couldn’t agree more. Links are hugely important and there are so many ethical ways to go about building a strong inbound linking structure, not least by getting involved in discussion with the wider online community. Contribution and interaction is essential to ongoing SEO.
