Mobile marketing is set to expand this year and still has not achieved all it is capable of.
That is the view of Bob Liodice, president and chief executive officer of the Association of National Advertisers, who spoke after the body released a survey in conjunction with the Mobile Marketing Association.
Some 88 per cent of client-side marketers revealed they will make use of mobile marketing this year, with 75 per cent planning to increase spending on this medium by an average of 59 per cent, compared with 2010.
"Mobile is clearly a fast-growing platform for marketers, but it has yet to attain its full potential," Mr Liodice said, which may interest users of SEO services looking to expand in this sector.
He added: "We expect to see fresh, innovative approaches, increased brand-building success and better accountability for this exciting channel."
Search Engine Land recently advised companies to stay on top of mobile search, as it revealed the sector is constantly growing and becoming increasingly important to a firm's success.
