Marketers may be interested by news that Google is encouraging users to take advantage of its most recent external keyword tool.
Writing in Search Engine Land, Barry Schwartz stated that after asking Google if it had plans to pull out its older version over time, the internet organisation revealed its intention to phase it out in favour on the new keyword tool.
However, he mentioned that the company had not set a firm date to complete the process and added that he understood Google wants to wait for feedback from users before finalising any decision.
Online regulars are told that the new tool is still available to everyone without the need to log in.
Although he noted that those looking to access the application have to navigate a captcha, a challenge test to ensure that the responses are personal rather than from a machine, before utilising the offering.
Google operates 150 types of search domain in many languages and the organisation states that it is devoting more time to this area of its business.

Hi Mark. I don’t think was worded as clearly as we could have. It’s still the Google AdWords Keyword Tool but the last version. Do a search for Google Keyword Tool and you’ll find the external link to it as well as being able to navigate via your AdWords account. I think you have a reference to it on your own site but the post doesn’t seem to load (blog post 5th October).
