One way in which businesses can improve their web presence could be to make use of local review sites.
This is according to Herndon Hasty, who recently wrote on Search Engine Watch that these are different to traditional search engines and "play into a wide variety to local search options".
As a result, they could be the perfect way for those who hope to utilise SEO marketing services to boost their popularity on the internet.
"These sites frequently have more options to showcase your location and offerings – including images, menus and catalogues," Mr Hasty advised.
He added that firms should include a deliverable if the option is available to them, as it will help the reputation of their listing on the site and drive internal search rankings.
Social media sites are another marketing tool that firms may want to take advantage of, although Katy Woodrow Hill, account director at 1000heads, recently advised that they need to engage in the right kinds of conversations with users in order for the medium to be effective.
