Analysing the amount of hits from organic searches a website's landing pages are receiving can provide a good indicator of whether SEO efforts are succeeding.
According to Search Engine Watch columnist Rob Chant, it is easy to find out this information by selecting the organic search traffic segment on Google Analytics or another similar service.
He said the data that is displayed will give users of SEO services a "clear idea" of how well their website is being indexed by search engines.
"To succeed with an SEO campaign, you want as many pages of quality content as possible, and you need as many of them to be indexed as possible," Mr Chant explained.
Earlier this week, fellow Search Engine Watch commentator John Greer advised that SEO campaigns should be constantly evolving.
He stated that this is because the SEO landscape is "always changing", meaning those who are fastest to react will be at a competitive advantage.
