Employing search engine optimisation (SEO) services can help companies drive customers to their website.
According to Christiana Pomoni, a commentator for citizen journalism site Helium, companies which use professional SEO services should ensure that the keywords placed on their site are relevant to the industry or sector they operate in.
She explained that the concept of SEO is based around the idea that consumers interested in goods or services will type the name of the product they are interested in into a search engine, meaning the organisations which use keywords most effectively are likely to get the most traffic.
"Therefore, keywords that are irrelevant to the industry, products or services – in other words, wrong keywords – are highly likely to keep the web page off-traffic, minimising popularity and decreasing sales," Ms Pomoni added.
In another recent article by the writer, she suggested that e-commerce sites hoping to employ SEO techniques should focus on specific keywords which are classified into categories such as price and item code.

A few years back having generic keywords in your domain name were a big no no. Today that has all changed. Some got it back then some still don’t get it. have a great day.
