Online marketing is set to be implemented across the Kenyan film industry in a bid to attract more publicity.

Kenyan Film Industry 'To Use Online Marketing' Business Daily explains the government is launching a new web portal to be run by the Kenya Tourist Board, which hopes to showcase some of the products on offer.

SEO services may be another way for filmmakers to become better known on the web.

And mobile web has also played a part in the latest drive, as the news source says the growing popularity of portable devices has meant connectivity has boomed in the country.

IT expert Moses Simiyu says: "The ongoing transition to digital technologies that increases processing power and storage capacities of consumers will be instrumental in its success."

Another body that is making the most of online marketing is Visit Savannah, which recently undertook various publicity efforts to encourage more tourists to head to the area, the Savannah Morning News revealed.
