The internet gives plenty of scope for advertising while the development of new technology gives emerging firms even more opportunity to promote themselves, it has been claimed.
Writing for Creative Boom, Katy Cowen explained that as well as using professional SEO services to boost their presence, businesses also need to design and create a good website.
She said that too many static pages should be avoided and "something that incorporates a blog" is ideal.
Ms Cowen also noted that for SEO purposes, the domain name is important and newer ones are often not as successful.
"That’s because Google loves older domains and will see your website as more important if it has an older domain, particularly if it was registered before 2000," she said.
Another form of internet advertising is Pay per Click, which Barry Bowman recently told Search Engine Land can generate instant responses and bring traffic to a site straight away.
