Google has updated the way in which its AdSense customers receive emails and alerts.

Google Updates AdSense Email Alerts According to the search engine’s Inside AdSense site, users are now able to pick which messages they receive from a choice of five categories.

These are newsletters, special offers, Google market research, customised help and performance suggestions and details of other products and services from the brand.

The customised help and performance emails in particular may be useful to businesses as they investigate various SEO services and look for ways to boost their presence on the internet.

"You’ll receive roughly one email per month from us with targeted performance suggestions, so you don’t have to worry about your inbox overflowing with messages from us," the search engine explained.

In other Google news, Tim Gibbon, co-founder and editor of the Social Media Portal, recently claimed that the organisation’s new auto-translation service is likely to be a successful and very popular tool.
