Google has introduced a new feature that may make it easier for users to personalise their search.

Google Introduces New Star Search Feature Browsers can now mark their favourite web content using stars which will then reappear at the top of their results page every time they perform a relevant search.

Announcing the development on its official blog, Google explained that one of the best things about the new feature is that people do not have to keep track of content they have starred.

"Simply perform a search and you’ll rediscover your starred items right when you need them," the organisation stated.

The new feature may also be beneficial to firms using SEO services to improve their web presence, as it can be integrated with Google Bookmarks and Google Toolbar.

Last week, the firm announced that there may be some interruptions to some of its services as it performs an upgrade.

It is thought that both Google Analytics and Website Optimizer will be affected.
