Google has introduced a new tool called Social Search that uses a logged-in browser’s personal connections to help them find what they are looking for.

Google Introduces New Social Search Option Commenting on the development for Search Engine Watch, John Greer explained that this is the ideal tool for people looking for things such as a good local restaurant.

"Social Search essentially ramps up the impact that personalized search or search wiki has had," he stated.

However, Mr Greer pointed out that businesses will have to use SEO services to make the most of the Social Search by expanding their "real estate" on the results pages.

Mr Greer advised enterprises to make the most of their Twitter and Facebook pages by regularly posting updates and bulletins.

"Use keywords just like on your site and boost your subscribers as much as possible," he suggested.

Meanwhile, Google announced last week that it has changed the way in which its AdSense customers receive various emails and alerts.

Very interesting news. I’ve found real-time search to be pretty cool. Buzzdock is a new real-time search engine that has become very useful and it’s cool. Check into it.
