Google claims that it now feels "confident" about adding the iPad to the list of devices that can be specifically targeted by marketers.

Google 'Confident' About iPad Advertising Writing on its Inside AdWords blog, the brand explained that after "rigorous iPad testing", it feels that businesses can now easily use SEO marketing services to run campaigns on the device.

It states that in order to do this successfully, marketers should edit the Devices section in their Campaign Settings and then select iPad from the advanced device and carrier options.

Google also reminds firms that they can promote any applications they may have for the iPhone or iPad by adding a link to the download URL in their adverts.

This makes it easy for users to access the app.

"To make things easier, we’ll handle the device targeting automatically when these ads show on mobile devices," the organisation continues.

People in the UK will be able to get their hands on an iPad at the end of May.
