Users of web browser Google Chrome have been informed that there is a wealth of new extensions for them to add, which could make their online experience easier or more relevant to them.
Writing on the official Chrome blog, Nick Baum revealed that more than 1,500 different extensions have been made available for the programme.
Each one of the mini applications has been developed to alter the browser in some way, so that users can access their favourite parts of the web quickly, he continued.
Mr Baum claimed that the each extension is easy to install and just as simple to uninstall if it does not fit its purpose satisfactorily.
He explained: "Extensions are little programmes, created by developers, which add useful functionality to the browser and to the websites you visit."
In a recent post on the Google Chrome blog, the team revealed that it increased the number of embeddable objects, so that customers who use ‘knols’ can make them more "graphical and interactive".
