Google Analytics is bringing out a Management API tool which will allow users to access account configuration data in a faster and more powerful way.

Google Analytics Management API launched The application provides read-only access to the configuration data, with five new data feeds that map directly to the Google Analytics information.

Jeetendra Soneja, a spokesman for the Google Analytics API team, told users of SEO services: "Previously, the API returned all the configuration data at once, which in many cases was inefficient if you only needed a subset of data.

"Now with separate feeds, developers can request only the data they need."

It was explained that the new Management API tool is being launched as a preview to begin with and the service is expected to evolve over time.

Earlier this week, Beth Liebert and Jeff Gillis from the Google Analytics team explained that the service's Intelligence tool has been adapted to send out alerts about the performance of AdWords campaigns and the amount of traffic that is arriving at a website.
