A free online seminar on the use of Google Analytics goals is to be hosted this afternoon (September 15th 2010).

Google Analytics Goals to be Explained in Live Web Course The event will get underway from 15:00 BST and last for around one hour, covering the way in which goals can be set up to measure conversions on a website.

Zarina Khaliq, a member of the Google AdWords team, told users of SEO services that the course will also explain how they can track return on investment.

"We will also clarify the difference between AdWords conversions and Analytics goal conversions and discuss how to analyse the goals report section of Google Analytics so that you can make informed business decisions," the official added.

Earlier this month, Google Analytics representative Alden DeSoto explained that the service offers the option for companies to find out how much traffic they are picking up from the mobile internet.

He said results can be broken down by operating system, so it is possible to see results for iPhone, BlackBerry and Android usage.
