Businesses need to ensure that they are taking advantage of the trend for mobile internet browsing.

Firms 'Should Target Mobile Browsers' With Ad Campaigns This is according to a post on Inside Adwords, which pointed out that more and more people are beginning to access the web on their phones.

As a result, firms are advised to ensure they make use of SEO marketing services to target their ad campaigns to these people.

"If you’d like to take things to the next level, create separate mobile-focused campaigns so that you can optimise your keywords, ad text and landing pages for people using mobile devices," the blog advises.

It also uses global digital advertising agency Razorfish as an example of an enterprise that has successfully utilised mobile optimisation.

The brand duplicated existing desktop campaigns to make them suitable for phones with full internet browsers, as well as tracking conversion metrics and focusing on branded keyword terms.

Last month, Inside AdWords crew member Katrina Kurnit advised that businesses can improve relevancy if they target mobile phone users.
