Establishing and strengthening a brand online is about more than just spending money, it has been claimed.
Writing for Search Engine Land, Christopher Wallace explained that businesses have to build an entity that consumers can relate to, thus encouraging them to return time and time again.
He states that not only will this help to develop awareness and reputation, it will also mean that "the more people are invested in your brand, the greater the chances are that they will actively seek it out and remain loyal".
In order to do this, Mr Wallace urges marketers to grow their brand, as well as their website, if they wish to attract consumers.
One way in which enterprises could do this is to invest in pay per click management services.
This is because, according to the Weblinx blog, a campaign of this nature is likely to be beneficial to a business in the long-run, even though it may take time to get it up and running effectively.
