An effective search marketing strategy has an important role to play in making a business more successful.
This is the suggestion of Search Engine Watch contributor David Dalka, who explained that ignoring the importance of the advertising channel could be potentially fatal to companies, who will be left behind by rivals which use SEO services.
"Search marketing is rapidly becoming the lead strategic marketing process as brand creative diminishes in importance in a content driven world," he said.
Mr Dalka went on to point out that business leaders across the globe need to be made aware that this is the "current reality" in the marketing world.
According to a recent report published by the Internet Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers, almost £2 billion was spent on online advertising in the UK during the opening six months of 2010.
Spending on online display advertising increased by 6.4 per cent during the period, while classified commercial revenue went up by 11.4 per cent.
