Building links is an effective way of getting good results on search engines as the festive season approaches, it has been explained.
Search Engine Land contributor Eric Enge explained there are several potential tactics that can be used for effective link building, with one strategy being the creation of a number of special online offers which a large number of bloggers are informed about.
Another potential option is to write relevant guest blogs for other sites.
Mr Enge said it may be too late to start running effective SEO campaigns for the holiday season now, but links are processed quickly by search engines, meaning they may be an area to target for businesses looking to make a last-minute push to attract more Christmas shoppers.
According to a recent report from Santander, a total of £6.4 billion is expected to be spent online by British consumers buying presents for their loved ones in the run-up to December 25th this year.
