Providing valuable content should be considered the most important aspect of maximising the SEO potential of a website.

Content 'Is Key to Improving Search Engine Ranking' This is the view of technology broadcaster Kim Komando, who stated in an article for USA Today that “content is king” when attempting to take full advantage of SEO services.

She stated that useful content should be provided and updated frequently, for example via regular blog entries, while keywords and important search terms should be placed prominently throughout the text.

Ms Komando also highlighted the importance of optimising each page for a specific keyword phrase, while assessing the popularity of search terms with tools such as Google Adwords’ Keyword Estimator.

“There’s a lot to SEO, and it requires patience – it can take months to see results,” she added.

According to a recent article by Search Marketing Weekly’s Greg Shuey, employing guest bloggers can also be a potential method of augmenting a site’s content and search engine ranking.
