An expert at Brown University in the US has spoken about the benefits of Google Apps.
Speaking about the technology on the brand’s official blog, Geoff Greene, director of IT Support Services at the educational establishment, said it was the students that first encouraged the idea.
As many of them already used the tools outside of school, they thought it would be a good idea to introduce them into their learning environment, he explained.
It was also thought that the technology would help to unite the university using collaborative documents, better email and video chat.
"Google Apps helps us work better together and we can feel the excitement building on campus as a result," Mr Greene commented.
It is not just universities and professional SEO services that are benefiting from the search engine’s technology, as schools in Colorado, Iowa and Oregon have adopted its Apps for Education tools, which includes Gmail.
