Blogs can have an important role to play in attracting hits to a company’s website.
According to Business Blogs commentator Anna Gervai, one of the key attractions of having such content is that it promotes link building.
“People rarely link to promotional content, but if you’re offering valuable, informative content through your blog articles, then people will link to you,” she explained.
Ms Gervai added that more links leads to a better search engine ranking, bringing in more website traffic and therefore more business leads.
She went on to explain how blogs can be an important tool for users of SEO services, stating that writing articles based on targeted niche search terms will help bring relevant visitors to a website.
Last week, Search Engine Watch columnist Eric Enge stated that link building has an “incredibly important” role to play when it comes to search engine rankings, with links essentially acting as votes for a piece of content.
