Kristin Meldahl wrote on the firm’s official search blog that Bing Maps will be updated throughout the prestigious competition to offer people new images of what happens in Vancouver and Whistler.
She explained that users’ search experience will be dramatically altered if they enter terms related to the Games, with instant answer providing a summary of the event.
"Just search Winter Olympics on Bing for important dates, links to the schedule, breaking news, all brought to you conveniently in the form of an instant answer," said Ms Meldahl.
Companies delivering their SEO services to sports fans should consider that Bing will provide instant answers regarding athletes and events at the top of the results page, she added.
Last week, a representative from eMarketer suggested that companies in Canada should use the Winter Games as an opportunity to develop international leads who may use their website in the future.
