Businesses with an online presence may have to adjust their SEO strategies to maximise the potential of a new iPhone app that has been launched by Bing.
The Bing for Mobile app includes a Shopping section where users will be able to track down products, see ratings and read reviews.
Users of SEO services were advised that iPhone owners who employ the app will be able to access a list of product categories of the most popular items.
Results can be sorted by relevance, price, user or expert ratings.
Andy Chu, a spokesman for Bing for Mobile, told the search engine’s Community Blog: “As our mobile devices become more important to our everyday lives, we hope that the Bing for Mobile iPhone app shopping features will help you make decisions on the go easier.”
Last month, Bing announced it is introducing a Visual Search Gallery, which will let internet users revisit a month’s worth of pictures taken from homepages.
