The Google AdWords blog has said it considers AdWords Campaign Experiments (ACE) to be its favourite innovation of 2010.

AdWords Names Campaign Experiments As Top Innovation of 2010 Dan Friedman, a member of the Inside AdWords team, told users of pay per click services that the last 12 months have been successful for his department, with a number of important developments taking place.

He said that along with the changes that arrived with Search Funnels and Products Ads, ACE was an impressive addition to AdWords' list of features.

"[It lets you] experiment with bid, keyword, ad group and placement changes, then measure how they impact your campaign performance," Mr Friedman explained.

The aim of the tool is to allow users to carry out real-time trials of new campaigns by running them alongside existing efforts.

This can help to show up whether the planned changes will produce significant differences and therefore allow businesses to run pay per click marketing that is better optimised.
