AdWords Campaign Experiments (ACE) are to be rolled out by Google across the world following a successful trial in the US.

AdWords Campaign Experiments to Go Global The service works by running experimental campaigns alongside established ones, in order to show the differences between key metrics.

Jason Shafton, a member of the Inside AdWords team, told users of professional SEO services that ACE can be useful in a number of scenarios.

He said the tool could be helpful if "you're considering adding (or pausing) a bunch of new keywords, but you aren't sure how it will affect your overall campaign clicks, costs, and conversions".

Mr Shafton added that it can also aid companies trying out new landing pages tailored for high-value keywords.

The free service was launched in America in early August following a two-month beta trial which saw advertisers report increased confidence in their online campaigns.

ACE was said to help them optimise their sites more easily by making it less risky to try out different SEO strategies.
