An industry insider has predicted that the advertising revenue generated from video content is likely to grow in 2010.

Advertising Revenue for Videos 'Set for Growth' Jamie Estrin, managing director of Web TV Enterprise, described how the consumption of videos by consumers rose "exponentially" last year and every day there is more professionally produced content going online.

Companies considering the delivery of their SEO services may agree with Mr Estrin’s view, which is that advertising money tends to be invested in the areas in which customers operate.

He explained: "With so much being added and so much being consumed, naturally advertisers want to communicate with the people engaging with this content everyday."

Mr Estrin pointed out that when video first became popular, it was a combination of user-generated content and archived programmes, but now the productions being uploaded are varied and "fresh".

A recent survey by Nielsen indicated that 50 per cent of global online customers would consider paying for professional video content or have done so before.
